Jordan Fitness supports ‘ITV Biggest Loser’
With the New Year kicking off many peoples’ fitness regimes, Jordan Fitness have yet again been able to support the ITV show ‘Biggest Loser’ which airs on television at this time of year. Jordan have been the choice for this productions functional fitness equipment for the third year running.
Jordan have supplied a variety of functional fitness equipment including kettlebells, Powerbags, dumbells, barbells, combat equipment, our brand new Alpha bags, Plyometric platforms, tornado balls, medicine balls and the body weight suspension training system ‘Milo Kit’. All this equipment will be used over the duration of the fitness and weight loss series as the contestants fight to become the ‘Biggest Loser’ by losing the most amount of weight.
The personal trainers on the show use the Jordan equipment along side cardio vascular equipment to help the contestants lose the maximum amount of weight over the eight weeks of the competition.
People do not always appreciate the benefit of using functional and free weight equipment in their fitness and weight loss programmes. Jordan Fitness have been at the forefront of developing functional fitness equipment for many years now and consider themselves as specialists in this field. All of the Jordan range of functional fitness equipment is of commercial quality and are priced competively.
This type of programme helps to promote the fact that anybody, however much weight they have to loose, with the right help, encouragement and determination can achieve their goals.
The show ‘Biggest Loser’ is currently being shown on ITV1 and ITV1HD on Tuesday nights from 9pm. It is hosted this year by television personality Davina McCall.

New range of Competition Kettlebells

We were very excited to be able to assist in the on-going fitness of the ATP World Tennis Finalists at the 02 Arena this week in association with Cybex.

A kettlebell is a weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. Originating from Russia, kettlebell training is now a global phenomenon with clubs, gyms and individuals investing in equipment and training. Weights range from 4kg to 48kg. They differ from dumbbells and barbells in that the centre of mass is offset from the handle, so the weight constantly pulls against your hand, improving coordination and anaerobic fitness and strengthening your core muscles. Jordan Fitness supporting Klick Fitness
Klick Fitness, the budget gym arm of Fitness First, has entered the UK market and will have nine clubs operating by the end of the month. The firm opened its first club in Wakefield on 5 September and will launch its next club in Bromborough, Merseyside, tomorrow (15 September). Further clubs are opening in Manchester (two) Aintree, Bradford, Ipswich, Sheffield, Stoke. Jason Worthy, head of central operations for Klick, told Leisure Opportunities that the company is looking to open more than nine clubs under the Klick banner. He said: "This is a market that we expect to grow very quickly."
Klick Fitness will offer monthly (£9.99) and annual (£99.99) memberships. Each club will have a group exercise studio and the membership will include a certain amount of classes. Some classes will be made available on pay as you go and the Klick clubs will also include functional training areas for small groups.
Jordan Fitness are very proud to be supporting 'Klick Fitness' in their venture.

Check out the 80sq Meters of Fun at our stand H650 and support Mike Buss and his attempt at the New World Record. Mike is hoping to raise over 10,000 for 'Help the Heroes' in his 'Iron Soldier Powerbag Challenge'. We are very pleased to be supporting Mike and look forward to seeing the attempts of our own guys, any photographic evidence of their efforts will be gratefully received!

Jordan Fitness has added three new evolutionary sandbag products to its range that are designed to compliment its already hugely popular Powerbag™.
Thy Sandball™, Thy Beast™ and Thy Coach™ are being hailed as the strongest sandbags in the industry and have been designed and tested by the US Crossfit market sporting the slogan “Train Hard”.
The Alpha Strong products are manufactured by a luggage company from a really high-count nylon outer shell which is duplicated inside to double the strength, all the zips are over engineered and stress points are triple, bar-tacked stitched. These features combined with six reinforced handles make for a sandbag training experience like no other.
