Jordan’s most successful LIW

Jordan say they are 'still reeling' from their most successful LIW exhibition in recent years.

With the expansion of the Jordan product range of freeweight, performance and studio equipment over recent months this years’ LIW exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham was always going to be a busy event for the Jordan team, and so it proved.

The event was well attended by those in the industry and much interest was raised by the launch of some new Jordan products.

The Jordan new and improved design of their popular solid end rubber dumbbells was well received. As were their new range of Olympic training plates and Nickel Series Olympic bars.

Jordan were also showcasing the Powerbag at the event and with the opportunity to meet the creator of this training tool on the Jordan stand, the Powerbag drew many interested parties to the stand.

Jordan are establishing their brand within the fitness industry and they made contact with customers new and old at the exhibition who were excited by the range of Jordan products.

By keeping overheads low, stock levels high and continually investing in new and more efficient systems Jordan have been able to become one of the largest companies in their field. From home gyms to large multi-site facilities they can supply a full range of quality products at short notice from large stocks held both in the UK and mainland Europe.

The full range of Jordan freeweight and fitness equipment is available through their website.

New Studio Barbells!

Jordan Fitness has added Studio Barbells to its product range.

Jordan Studio Barbells have twelve-sided discs to eliminate roll and the discs are colour coded for easy identification. The discs also have the unique double hand-grip which makes them extremely versatile.

Fitness classes involving the studio barbell are becoming increasingly popular as this form of exercise strengthens the whole body.

The hour work-out challenges all major muscle groups using exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls.

Classes are usually set to music and led by an instructor. These routines appeal to both men and women of all ages and fitness abilities as weights can be adjusted to suit personal preference and the exercise being undertaken.

Jordan Fitness says that its Studio Barbell when used in this way - combining high-repetition weight training and aerobic exercise - will tone and condition the body and help with weight loss.

The full Studio Barbell set - priced at £45.50 plus VAT - includes six discs (two x 1.25kg Yellow, two x 2.5kg Blue and two x 5kg Red), one 1400mm bar and one pair of spring collars.

For the studio a choice of racks is available, holding up to 30 studio barbell sets. Prices start at £132.87 plus VAT.

Kettlebells in ColoursJordan Fitness introduced its unique Coloured Neoprene Covered Kettlebells at this year’s Fitness Forum Expo in London.

Kettlebell training is a unique way of exercising since it delivers an intensive workout that can be done in almost half the time of a more traditional routine.

With this in mind, Jordan also has Kettlebell training DVDs available, ranging from ones for beginners to a more advanced version.

The Jordan range of Kettlebells also includes cast iron and black rubber covered versions.

Jordan Freeweights kit for core training centre

Core Cambridge is a personal training centre that has just opened in Cambridge and which boasts a range of equipment supplied by Jordan Freeweights.

Situated next to the Science Park, it offers personal training for all of its clients, whether they be an office worker wanting to relieve back pain or an international athlete looking to maximise their performance
.

Ed Hallam, Director of Performance at the new centre says: "For years, we've dreamed of a place like this that is specifically designed to help people achieve their goals.

"After a lot of hard work we've managed to pull together the space, the equipment and the expertise that people really need all under one roof. We're so excited and proud."

The facility contains a free weights area, two treatment rooms and a sprint track, the latter being the first thing that Hallam says people notice.

"It's the cornerstone of our training; athletes use it for agility and plyometrics drills, but for ordinary people it's a space for them to learn to move, stabilise and coordinate their bodies before progressing onto weight training.

"We also use it as a conditioning space - people work far harder running around carrying sandbags and kegs, climbing ropes and flipping tyres than they do chugging away on a treadmill. It's a darn sight more fun as well!

"Jordan Freeweights has supplied us with an excellent range of free weights, flooring and Olympic training equipment that I have to say is excellent and perfectly fits our facility."

Their cardiovascular benefits also mean that Kettlebells form an excellent workout. Female proponents claim they
are the ultimate toning tool and many Hollywood stars attribute their physiques to the use of kettlebells within their training regimes, as recently seen in the new Rocky movie. Jordan's Black Rubber Kettlebells start in price at £6.30 for a 4kg version and are available in nine sizes ranging from 4kg to 40kg.
